Vetter has always been very closely connected with the field of rescue since its founding in 1964 as a wholesale trading company for the fire service and civil defence. Here you are able to see the most significant milestones which helped rescue experience and technological know-how to flourish in order to be able to offer you perfected rescue products and medical tents.

1964

Founding of Vetter in Cologne as a wholesale trading company for fire service and civil defence equipment

1969

Manufacture of Oil and Water Aspirators

1971

Start of production for the 0.5 bar Lifting Bag

1972

First export business

1974/76

Production of the 6.0 bar Mini Lifting Bag

1978

Introduction of the first Pipe Sealing Bag and Test Sealing Bag

1979

Founding of Manfred Vetter GmbH as well as the founding of a company in the USA: Vetter Systems, Pittsburgh

1980

Founding of Vetter Produktions GmbH

1985

Extension of the company in Zülpich and the termination of wholesale trading for the fire service

1992

Setting up the exhibition and training center in Langendorf

1995

Fusion of Vepro and Manfred Vetter GmbH to Manfred Vetter GmbH & Comp.

2000

Introduction of Decontamination Tents and Safety Cushions

2002

Setting up of an inspection service in Germany

2004

Take-over of Manfred Vetter GmbH & Comp. by the IDEX Corporation

2005

Start of the new training academy in Zülpich

2006

Integration of AIRSHORE products into the product program

2007

New series for Pipe Sealing Bags, Test Sealing Bags as well as Ultra Flat Bags

2008

Introduction of the 10 bar S.Tec Bag as well as Pipe and Bypass Bags for the fire service

2010

Introduction of safety cushions SP 60 and SP 16 (neon yellow), the wedge-shaped lifting bag and the MT series

2012

Introduction of Ultra Flat Bags S.Tec 10 bar

2013

Introduction of Mini Permanent Aspirator MPS 2.0 MWF

2014

Introduction of the first illuminated controller Air CU lighting

2015

Presentation of an advanced version of Lifting Bags, Vetter presented the S.Tec 12 Lifting Bags at the 2015 Interschutz. Additional Vetter introduced Connectable Bags C.Tec 10 bar (145 psi).
